Our Burlingame whole house upgrade is complete. Here is the Family Room cabinet. It holds not only the Surround Sound System for the room but also all the electronics for the rest of the home. Marantz, Furman, Crestron, Spatz, Artison and more.

The Master Bedroom is beautiful. A complete HD Home Theater all hidden away. All controlled via Crestron touchscreen. It's as easy to operate as it is good sounding!

All the speakers in this home are B&W. In-wall or in-ceiling it just doesn't get any better!

2 I-Pod docking stations, FM radio, Blu Ray and 2 Comcast cable boxes are our sources. All accessible and controllable from any room in the house!

We have removed all the old control system and old fashioned volume controls and replaced with Crestron keypads or touch screens.

All the old in-wall and in-ceiling speakers are removed and replaced with B&W! They not only will sound much better but wait til you see the look!

Here are the promised “before pictures. This is a beautiful Burlingame Hills home. Large, multi floor with lots of rooms, all with purpose.  We are setting about a complete update.  Two home theaters, complete whole house audio and HD (1080p) video distribution and a new control system. A couple of stand alone TV’s and outdoor sound.

As you will see, we have removed all the old volume controls along with the old distributed audio system. This will be replaced with Crestron keypads, touch screens and remotes. All the old speakers, both in-wall and in-ceiling will be removed and replaced with B&W in-wall and in-ceiling speakers for superb sound though out the home.

When we are done this home will sing!

The cabinet has been emptied and all the wire for the entire audio / video distribution system is being re-routed here. The entire home electronics system will center here. This area will also be the center of viewing for the family room.

The beautiful Master Bedroom will have a Panasonic Pro 50 inch plasma above the fireplace. In-ceiling B&W speakers, an Artison in wall subwoofer and Crestron automation will leave this room free of the clutter a home theater can create. Great sound, stunning picture and 1 button operation!

All the old style knob based volume controls will be replaced with Crestron keypads, Crestron touch screens or in the case of the guest rooms new Decora slide volume controls. Most rooms will have complete control of the entire system!

The B&W Sig8 NT’s perform as billed.  An audiophile listening experience built into the wall! And the sub may be one of the best sub’s in a system we have heard. Seamless bass with no point of origin. The sound will only get better over the next few weeks as things break in.

All of the electronics are hidden away in a remote location.  Rotel RSP-1570 and the Rotel RMB -1565 to power the system. A Marantz Blu Ray for stunning picture quality.  Furman AC-215 at the LCD Flat Panel TV and an Elite 15 at the component location to protect and condition the AC power.  And to insure the BEST in digital music recreation a LINN Majik DS, Digital Streaming Player.

Once the new cabinets are installed and the system has broken in a bit we will go back for one final visit to re-calibrate the sonic performance and do a final calibration on the LCD Flat Panel TV. Until then we can share these photos.

Here is a little change that makes a BIG visual difference!  We have remove the old ON wall rear channel speakers and replaced the with the B&W CWM-663 IN wall speakers.  Not only does this look better but the sound will be greatly improved as well.

Here are a couple of photos of the progress.  The B&W Sig-8 NT  reference in-wall speakers have gone into their back boxes as has the B&W ISW4 subwoofer. The grills are being painted to match.

This is starting to really come into focus. You can now see where things will go and how clean and crisp it will look at completion.

Here you can see the B&W in wall Sig8 back boxes for left and center channel speaker as well as the alcove for the TV. Also the spaces for the NEW case work.

The new fireplace and to the right the alcove for new case work and then further to the right is the right channel in wall B&W Sig 8 back box. The small area below the window is where the B&W ISW4 in wall sub will live. Looks nice now that the BIG back box is mostly covered! It will produce a lot of clean multi-note bass from a seemingly small space.
